Game: San Diego Padres vs. Philadelphia Phillies

All San Diego CPCU members are invited to our next yearly chapter social exclusively held for our members that will be hosted at Petco Park during the San Diego Padres' big game against the Philadelphia Phillies on April 19th. The game will be a festive evening of fun and entertainment under the stars, with great seating at the bar and lounge on top of Western Metal Supply building. We have room for 50 attendees and everyone may register an additional (1) guest. Please visit our homepage for more details about the event, the venue, and the Padres.

The Ballpark Social

As a thank you to all our members for their continued commitment and support for our local CPCU Chapter, we are hosting a ballpark social at the Phillies-Padres Game on Thursday, April 19^th. All members are welcome to attend the event and invite a guest. Our chapter will provide free tickets for each registrant, but space is limited and early registration is strongly encouraged. On the day of the event, the tickets can be picked up at Will Call before the game.

The Venue

The seating is located within a special lounge and bar area on top of the Western Metal Supply building. This section offers a great overall view of the field as well as the entire park and some nice views of the outlying San Diego area. With so much to see and do around this level, even the slow games go by fast, making this section one of the more exciting seating areas of Petco Park.

The Team

As far as the Padres are concerned, they have had a turbulent recent history. In 2010, the team was one of the MLB's top teams and narrowly lost its division lead to the San Francisco Giants, the team that would go on to win the World Series. In 2011, the Padres struggled without being in the lead at all. Despite its recent challenges, the Padres have been known to surprise the league... it was ranked last before its amazing 2010 season after all and may yet have another spectacular rise in 2012.

This season, the Padres benefit from one of the league's top farm systems and a highly ranked organization talent ranking, according to Baseball America magazine. It remains to be seen if its big name trades and prospects will pay off for the team this season, but come to the Thursday 19th game to see for yourself!

Gates Open at 5:30 pm

Game start from 7:05pm to about 11:00pm

A Smashing Success!

We appreciate each and every one of our guests who attended. Through their support our Holiday Luncheon for 2011 was a great success. We truly celebrated the spirit of the holidays through record fundraising and toy donations for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. Thank you to all who attended the event!

CPCU Excellence Award - Cavignac & Associates 

The San Diego Chapter CPCU Society is awarding the "CPCU Excellence Award" to Jeff Cavignac of Cavignac & Associates for Employer support of the Society and Local Chapter.  Cavignac & Associates knows the importance of continuing education and is an advocate to their employees through financial support and mentoring.   Cavignac & Associates has provided support to the San Diego Chapter CPCU Society by opening up their facilities to host meetings, reimbursement for parking, sponsorship of the various events throughout the 2010-11 year.

Circle of Excellence

The San Diego Chapter has been honored with the Gold level of recognition as part of the CPCU Society’s Circle of Excellence program for our activities during the recently completed 2010-11 chapter year. The CPCU Society's Circle of Excellence Recognition Program recognizes each chapter for its efforts to achieve benchmarks in chapter performance.

The CPCU Society and American Institute for CPCU have created the joint Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program, which recognizes professionals who keep their knowledge current and their skills sharp through career-enhancing activities.
