		Ethics Luncheon


		Ethics Luncheon - February 10th, 2010 The next San Diego CPCU Chapter luncheon will be our ethics luncheon on Wednesday, February 10th at The Bahia Resort and Hotel on Mission Bay. Due to construction at the Handlery Hotel, we have temporarily moved our meeting to The Bahia located at 998 West Mission Bay Drive, San Diego, 92109. Besides a great setting, The Bahia has plenty of free open parking. Our speaker will be Craig Barkacs, JD, MBA, Professor of Business Law at The University of San Diego. Professor Barkacs has designed and taught numerous courses on negotiation, corporate social responsibility, ethics, law, and international business, and has published extensively in those disciplines. He has won many awards for his research and publications. Currently, Professor Barkacs is a principal in The Barkacs Group, a business consulting firm that provides negotiation and ethics training for the private sector. The CPCU Society

The San Diego Chapter of The CPCU Society is announcing a Scholarship Program for candidates enrolled in the CPCU exam series.

Candidates for the Scholarship will submit an application, an essay and a letter of recommendation to the Chapter Board of Directors. Expenses for CPCU textbooks, CPCU courses and CPCU exam fees will be covered up to $500 during the 2010-2011 Scholarship period.

The San Diego Chapter CPCU Society will hold the annual social event in April, 2010

This year's social event will also be our charity event. We will be holding a casino night (with raffle prizes) to benefit the San Diego Humane Society. Keep an eye out for more information on this great night of entertainment.
